We process your data under the legal bases of Contractual Necessity (to treat your pet) and Legitimate Interest (to protect animal welfare). This includes:

  • Providing emergency veterinary consultations and treatments.

  • Sending vital health reminders (vaccinations, boosters).

  • Processing payments and insurance claims.

  • Communicating via WhatsApp, SMS or phone during an active emergency.

4. Data Sharing

We only share your information when necessary for your pet’s care, including:

  • Referrals: Specialist clinics or hospitals if your pet requires advanced surgery.

  • Laboratories: For diagnostic testing.

  • Insurance Companies: To facilitate your claims.

  • Microchip Databases: To update owner records.

In line with Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) guidelines and UK tax law:

  • Clinical Records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years.

  • Financial Records: Retained for 7 years.

  • Marketing Data: Retained until you withdraw consent.
